Chivalry 2 vs mordhau11/10/2023 ![]() ![]() There are of course different classes to choose from, all with their own unique weaponry such as single-handed and two-handed swords, maces, axes and more. Doing this here though will result in instant death if you’re not careful. I will mention Chivalry 2 one more time in this instance because in that game you can get by running head first into battle swinging whichever weapon you choose and still get results. You’ll quickly realise that MORDHAU is easily the most serious game in the genre and requires patience, precision and planning to get right. You’ll also learn how to use a bow and arrow, engage in horse combat, how to destroy and build along with firing catapults at enemy lines. This will take approximately 20 minutes of your time But here you’ll learn how to attack, parry, and kick along with combination attacks and different ways of slaying your enemies. I fully recommend that you force yourself to play MORDHAU‘s tutorial first. ![]() That isn’t to say casual players won’t have fun here, I actually prefer the experience here and as I lead into the gameplay elements you’ll see why. I don’t want to keep drawing direct comparisons to Chivalry 2 during this review but what I will say is that this game caters to the more serious player whereas Chivalry 2 is far more suited to the more casual out there. With over 88,000 reviews averaging a very positive rating on Steam I was very keen to check this one out as I love anything with medieval vibes, especially when it comes to competitive multiplayer action. ![]() However, as someone who doesn’t really play games on PC, I was totally unaware of the existence of the game until it landed on Xbox this week. MORDHAU has been on PC for over four years now. It isn’t until you get the game in your hands though that you’ll find a vast difference between the two. Many will draw direct comparisons to the Chivalry games and after the success of Chivalry 2 on consoles, it is extremely difficult not to stack the two side by side since they bear so many similarities. Other users have reported low player counts across the game and while servers don’t seem rammed to the brim, during the day in the UK I have had no trouble finding populated matches. However, I am happy to report these have been fixed very quickly and during my review, I experienced very little issue-wise. Yet again, I understand the "dev" don't want go on "the other gaming stations" for he could of gain giant bucks of money there if he did and servers would a stablish severs a whole some more and also the biggest funding money could of had ever roll up into this "dev's pocket".#first-person, #Medieval, #Mordhau, #Multiplayer, #Review, #Swordplay, #Triternion, #Xbox Series X|SĪfter surveying some of the user reviews on the Xbox store for MORDHAU it was a little bit of a mixed bag as some players reported issues with freezing and lag. Heck, come think about it I remember my friend yammering about the 2 game and saying "why not just have these 2 dev work with each other so it can be truely made to be fair game" I don't know it would be wise but if they ever do for I prefer be the 1st one wanna tested it if they ever work with each other.įor yes the chiv 2 is quite chaoticly out of hand, but the players aren't aware being mordau players and regular wham ppl but the only reason why it is chaotic because chiv 1 pretty much was the one who cause the cake to fall (short meaning, chiv 1 was everywhere in xbox 360, ps4 in thous old version game that why we have so many casual players or dumb block players who never experinces mordau)Īt the mean time, mordau is only on the PC and never on other gaming station because the design was never meant for controllers for it would be wise if they did release for other gaming stations for the players could of had compare it better and not being weeb of chiv 1 and thinking "this should be casual day like chiv 1" so we mordau player can at least pour the salt on their wounds. not entirely true we don't need mordhau's combat, but still the dev can work it's kink to "correcting" it and if the dev thought of "ok we will give that long block like chiv 2 and have stamina drain" that system is easy apply for mordhau's combat because both game can be forgiving or both can work with each other. Mordhau's combat is decent the way it is, we don't need more. Too many attacks make the game unpredictable and unreadable. Just like how adding sprinting to kf2 broke kiting when compared to kf1.
